Coming Attractions
Friday 2nd September: LOTTO NIGHT in the bar. This is a very enjoyable game that will also raise money for the Club. Please try and come, as we must have 24 players to start. We now get a very nice number of members down in the evenings, but a special effort this weekend would be very encouraging. Don't forget THIS Friday at 8.30pm.
Saturday 3rd September: CARNIVAL NIGHT. Anyone who has not seen the Carnival should make an effort to come this year. Stourport Carnival is making quite a name for itself. And there is no better place to start from than the Baoat Club. It is central to everything. The Carnival Parade starts at 3.00pm. The Carnival Queen is crowned at 2.45pm by Mr Donald Gray of TV fame. There is something going on until 9.00pm when the firework display finishes the night off. Some of the members are going to enter in the Carnival both in the parade and in the river events. THERE IS A BAR EXTENSION UNTIL 11.00 PM.
Saturday 10th September: Club Sports. The annual Club Sports will start about 2.15pm. So come along and have fun. There are events for Scratch Fours, Mixed Double Sculls, Pairs etc. Entry fee will be about 1/6d for each event. Light teas will be available. The prizes are good so come along. There are lists posted in the Club house for those who wish to take part. Should the entry be a large one, some of the heats may have to be rowed off on Friday Night.
Don't forget Saturday Week the 10th September. Bar extension till 11.00pm.
