Eights Head ... 1975
Stourport Boat Club first eight finished 94th out of 350 at the London Head last weekend. This is only the third time in the last ten years that Stourport has broken the top hundred, and shows a rise of 30 places from last year. The eight has shown steady improvement over the past month. Finishing half way down the field at Worcester Head, and 37th at Reading Head. The crew will now split into a Senior A and Senior B Four for the season, with their first appearance at Evesham Sprint Regatta on Easter Monday.
Stourport second eight starting 191 finished 11 seconds behind the first eight in 124th position in a time of 19.53. This is a healthy position for a club's second boat.
The Novice Crew were the only crew to drop places and finished 344th in 22.38. This is a serious problem which must be rectified by the start of the season if the club is to get an all important novice win.
