Stourport Boat Club's Junior Four rowed exceptionally well at Worcester Head last weekend to finish 6th out of 47 crews, finishing second to St. Edward's School in the Junior Division, thir time would have won the Senior C and the Elite Divisions, thoughthe latter was somewhat weakened by the eights division.
Many local crews of higher status were further down the finishing order than this crew, which contains two under 16 year olds and two under 18's, one still to win his first event. This bodes well for the forthcoming season as crews such as St. Edward's are rarely seen in this part of the world. The club's senior eight were not as successful at Worcester, finishing 12th out of the 36 crews entered, although their time of 21.37 represents the best produced by the club at this event.
The crew: Bow, E.Mol; 2, F.Caswill; 3, K.Barwise; 4, P.Lashford; 5, R.Lloyd; 6, T.Edwards; 7, M.Edmonds; Stroke, P.Downes; cox, C.Reeley.
Junior Four: Bow, M.Daglish; 2, D.Gwilliam; 3, M.Cook; Stroke, S.Downes; cox, M.Reeley.
